Film Director & Editor

Kat has worked in film for over 12 years, collaborating with more than 20 companies. She/They have experience in diverse fields including independent documentary, premium network series, social impact videos for nonprofit organizations, and web-based branded and commercial content.

She has worked as a director, editor, and assistant editor. Previously, they were the senior editor at Rota6, a Brooklyn-based production company. They also worked as a freelancer for international brands such as National Geographic, Showtime, KIA, and others.

She started her filmmaking career in New York City and after 13 years there, she decided to move to Los Angeles County California. She continues to work remotely with her NYC clients and colleagues.

Skilled in archival-heavy films, verité footage, and creating custom workflows based on project needs. They have a Bachelor of Fine Arts focused in Filmmaking from the School of Visual Arts (SVA).

Kat is passionate about telling character-driven stories with social justice issues at their core. She is a member of Women In Film and an alum of UnionDocs 2019 Summer Documentary Lab. She is currently active in the LGTBTQ+ community and volunteers at a local cat rescue. She is a donating supporter of the ACLU, HRC, BLM, Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW), Buy From A Black Woman, Aquarium of the Pacific, and The National MS Society.
